Very simple forward/back controls at the lectern. Control of any computer via a modified P/S2 or USB keyboard. Cable based for maximum reliability. No infrared or radio interference and dropout problems. Uses common 3 pin XLR microphone cables for inter-connections. The system consists of 3 units
Has the ability to control 2 computers either one at a time or both in tandem. This allows a presenter to be controlling one computer while the other is being configured for the next presentation. One computer could be a Mac and the other an IBM if required. Selection of which computer to control is done by the "Computer Select" button which steps through the options of "A", "B" or "A+B". Monitoring of cable and connections via a "Lectern OK" LED. Only 2 controls: Forward and Back. Nothing else to confuse a stressed presenter. A confidence LED indicates when a button has been pressed. Connection to the computer is via a modified keyboard which has an addition cable for the Control Unit. All keyboard keys and functions remain 100% operational. The control is achieved by remotely "pressing" the page up and down keys. These keys are compatible with Microsoft's Power Point and Corel's presentation software. Maximum cable length is in excess of 200 metres. It will run down an audio multicore quite happily. An XLR to RJ45 adaptor will allow the use
of CAT5 cable as well as microphone cable.
